Hi...I have installed Drupla 6.2 in my PC.Now i want some text to be scrolled as news in my website..I dont kow how to do tat coz i am very very new to Drupal..i kow tat Taxanomy ticker is used to do tat but i dont kow how to do it..plz any body help me..its urgent...I am using Drupal 6.2

If the text is static, then its very easy
1. Take the code from dynamicdrive.com , put it in your page.tpl.php at appropriate position, to change the text you will have to modify the php file
2. If you want dynamic option then you will have to check some jquery plugin. Drupal supports jquery. search on drupal.org for that.

Thanks for ur help...But i have one doubt i have 4 page.tpl file..In which file i should paste the script..Plz help me..i have file in Module\system,Themes\Bluemarian,Themes\Garland and Themes\Pushbuttton..In which place i have to paste the Script..I want the scrollr to be displayed in the home page..Sorry of the question is a silly one..plz help me
You have to check which theme is enabled. If you have enabled Push button theme, then in that folder's page.tpl.php you can place your code. If you change the theme, then again you will have to paste the code in the new theme's page.tpl.php

Hi i am facing another problem which is, the scroller is getting displayed in all the pages of my drupal site..So how can i make it to be displayed in a specific page or in the home page alone..plz help me for this also..
If you want to be displayed on specific pages, then you can use block and place it in the content region. In the block configuration you can specify the URL.
The other option is to do some PHP code around the code so that it only displays based on some URL
Sorry if it is a silly question coz i am very new to PHP and Drupal..where shall i paste the code which displayes the scroller in the block.I tried pasting it in the block.tpl file.But it is getting diplayed in many places in a single page.And also i tried to paste the code in the Block >> addblock section but the code by itself is getting displayed.so plz help me by giving the idea even more clear and specific about the file which has to be modified ect...thanks for ur continous help..thanks a lot
